This CD has some Spanish pieces by Luis de Milan and Alonso Mudarra that are usually heard on the vihuela and aren’t usually heard on the lute. That alone makes this CD worth having. Many of the other works here have been recorded by Jacob Heringman at other times. Many will like this recording for its variety of French, Spanish, and Hungarian lute music. The recording and the lute playing are excellent. Anyone who likes lute music will not regret buying this recording.
